The personal data we collect about you will include data relating to your name, address, date of birth, data relating to health including mental health and history. We will process your data to allow us to provide a psychotherapy service. This will include communication, practice organisation, and internal administration.
Your more confidential personal data ‘sensitive data’ may be shared with other professionals in specific circumstances whether this is a further referral processes or ongoing treatment. The collection of this data will be kept to the minimum required by our regulators and insurers and falls under the confidentiality boundaries of or regulatory ethics documents.
Some of your data, anonymised, may be used in order to efficiently manage the service, for instance for equal opportunities and purposes for increased access or the enhancement of the service.
We will only use your data for the purposes, which it is collected. We will only grant access to your data as we are obliged to by law, and will not be sharing your data with third parties unless for onward referral of continuity of care.
We are obliged by our insurers to keep this data for 7 years after completion of any work. After this time it will be destroyed.
You have the right to request access to the data we keep about you.
You have the right to request that data we store about you is deleted.
You have the right of complaint to higher authority regarding your data management. This may be the psychotherapy regulating body or the ICO dependent upon the complaint if it can not first be dealt with directly.
